Fundraising Concert with Liam Lawton
Baltinglass Parish Folk Group had their Charity CD launch concert in St Joseph’s Church Baltinglass. Performing artists were Baltinglass Parish Folk Group, Roisin Jackman, The Tullow Singers and a very special guest Father LIAM LAWTON. All the proceeds of the concert and the sale of the cd’s are going to charity. 50 % to FAID and 50 % to Baltinglass District Hospital. A very big thank you to Father Liam and the Baltinglass Parish Folk group and a very special thank you to Vinny Gethings.
The school receives € 15000 from Irish Aid
Irish Aid, administrated by the Irish Embassy in Cairo gave the school a grant of €15,000 to repair the roof on the main building, which is leaking in several places. Special thanks to Garrett O’Brien from the Irish Embassy in Cairo and Michael O’Sullivan from the Cork CIE Bus drivers. We hope to have a complete new roof for €20,000 and Friends of Faid will supply the shortfall.
